The attached PDF provides a tutorial showing you how easy it is to create an Azure virtual machine (VM) in the Azure Management portal. We'll use a Windows Server image as an example, but that's just one of the many images Azure offers. Note that your image choices depend on your subscription. For example, desktop images may be available to MSDN subscribers.

Note: As of 11/10/2025 there is a reported issues when leveraging Azure's "Monitor Agent", while this is running this could interfere with upgrades or installs that will lock the EFT' install directory and could cause EFT service crashes. It is recommended that this service is not running in your EFT environment, or disable this during any install and/or EFT upgrades.
