THE INFORMATION IN THIS ARTICLE APPLIES TO:
This issue was fixed in CuteFTP Pro version 8
SYMPTOMS
When using the Lockstep Folder Navigation feature, synchronization with the remote side fails and folders are skipped when navigating a folder structure on the local side that uses the same folder name for several nested folders. (e.g. c:\local\test\test\test\ linked to /remote/test/test/test/)
CAUSE
This is a known issue in CuteFTP 7 Professional.
RESOLUTION
If you are experiencing this problem, then the preferred solution is to upgrade to CuteFTP 8.
Alternatively, proper behavior may occur if you use the remote side to navigate with. Even so, Lockstep Folder Navigation still may have an occasional problem navigating a folder tree that has nested folders that are named the same. In those cases you may need to turn off Lockstep Folder Navigation.
