SYMPTOM

The remote file list is not sorted correctly. Sorting a column either ascending or descending may produce sorted, unsorted or mixed results.

CAUSE

This problem is caused by an issue with CuteFTP's internal sorting logic. The problem has been found to occur only in CuteFTP 8.1.

RESOLUTION

Upgrade to CuteFTP 8.2 or later. Registered users can download the most current version of CuteFTP from the Replacement Software Downloads Web page.
