Including or excluding VFS folders in quota

Karla Marsh
EFT

THE INFORMATION IN THIS ARTICLE APPLIES TO:

  • EFT v8 and later
  • In EFT v8.1 and later, you can enable and set upload quota in the VFS. (search the help in EFT for "upload quota.")

DISCUSSION

This advanced property determines whether Virtual Folders are included in the disk quota calculation.

Add the name:value pair below to the AdvancedProperties.JSON file in the \ProgramData\ folder for EFT (for example, C:\ProgramData\Globalscape\EFT Server):

{
"ExcludeVFolderInQuotaCalc":1
}

If this value is set to 1, virtual folders are not evaluated when calculating a user's quota restriction.
If set to the default of 0, virtual folders are used in the calculation.
