THE INFORMATION IN THIS ARTICLE APPLIES TO:
- CuteFTP® version 8 and later
SYMPTOMS
When navigating a list of files and folders in either the remote or local panes, it is expected that pressing a number on the numeric keypad will cause the selection to jump to the first file or folder name that begins with the corresponding number.
When using CuteFTP 8 with NUMLOCK on, pressing any number on the numeric keypad causes the selection to jump to the first item in the list, regardless what the first character in the item name is. This mimics the behavior observed when pressing the HOME key.
When using the numbers in the top row of the regular keyboard, the behavior is as expected.
CAUSE
Unknown.
WORKAROUND
When navigating a list of files and folders with the keyboard, use the numbers in the top row of the regular keyboard instead of the numbers in the numeric keypad.
