- EFT Server (All Versions)
What does the message "Authenticated with partial success" mean?
"Partial success" is for multi-step authorization in SSH (e.g., when the server requires both key and password). For each step in the authorization process, EFT Server needs to report that a particular step passed, but that the client still is not authorized until all steps have succeeded. For example, suppose the client submits (as the first step) a valid signature. Then EFT Server responds with AUTH_FAILURE, but with a "partial success" flag set to true, indicating that the signature is good but the client needs to try the next step before being granted access.
