SYMPTOM
Changing of user password not allowed on LDAP Site if the Site is hosted on a foreign domain.
RESOLUTION
Add the following registry value to the EFT Server computer:
32-bit:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\GlobalSCAPE, Inc.\EFT Server 4.0\ChangePassByAD
64-bit:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WoW6432Node/GlobalSCAPE, Inc.\EFT Server 4.0\ChangePassByAD
Value type is REG_DWORD.
If ChangePassByAD = 0 or does not exist, then the LDAP way of changing the password will be used;
otherwise, use
AD.
MORE INFORMATION
Password change for LDAP is only allowed for LDAP over SSL. (The LDAP Site
in EFT Server must have "Use SSL" selected.)
