QUESTION

Why does the Web Transfer Client (WTC) display my cached locations, instead of my defaults?

ANSWER

The WTC remembers the last remote and local paths that you had visited when you shut down the browser. The next time the WTC is launched on that computer by the same computer user (regardless of EFT account), the WTC will reload exactly where it was closed.

The only time this might be an issue is if you log in to the WTC with more one EFT user account and close the browser while in a folder that is not available to the second EFT account. When you log in with the second EFT account, you are presented with an empty folder. Simple click the Up icon to get out of the empty folder.

NOTE: It is always a good idea to log out of the client before closing the browser.
