SYMPTOM
In EFT HA installed in AWS, nodes will not communicate with each other.
CAUSE
AWS Managed AD Domains have a policy that disables MSMQ. MSMQ is supported via workgroups, but not via domain policies.
RESOLUTION/WORKAROUND
On the EFT computer, change or create the following registry setting:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSMQ\Parameters
Set REG_DWORD workgroup to 1.
- 1 is workgroup mode.
- 0 is AD mode
