Automation: Creating an identical folder structure for all new users in EFT

As a standard operating procedure, many customers will want a specific type of structure to be created every time users a created.

For example, all users are required to have an incoming and outgoing directory!

  1. Create a new AWE task called CreateWorkFoldersForNewUsers.
  2. Batch files can also be used using CMD, Powershell, or COM API.
  3. Create a new Rule using On User Account Created Rule and assign the new task CreateWorkFoldersForNewUsers. It should now look like the following:

This only applies to GS Auth sites and ODBC Auth sites in EFT. LDAP and AD users are not created via the EFT administration interface, however, it is possible to use an On User Logged In Rule for these users so that the folder system is created.
