SAT encounters "Generate Username" error during user creation

SYMPTOM

SAT encounters "Generate Username" error during user creation.

RESOLUTION

If you encounter this error, in the C:\inetpub\wwwroot\EFTAdhoc\web.config file, change the line <security mode="TransportCredentialOnly"> to <security mode="Transport">.

MORE INFORMATION

This error occurs infrequently and is caused by installing SAT with only HTTP enabled and then subsequently enabling HTTPS in IIS. In a normal installation, ASP.net application would detect from IIS that HTTPS had been enabled and would properly edit the web.config file when SAT is installed.
