ANSWER
Yes, CuteFTP Pro® can connect via SFTP if you are using a SOCKS server. CuteFTP will not use an FTP or HTTP proxy server to connect via SFTP. If your network connection is through an FTP or HTTP proxy server, you cannot use SFTP.
