DISCUSSION

Note: In EFT Server version 6.2, the EFT Server installer installs a script that can be used to create the proper tables for ODBC. The database scripts are installed in the APP_DATA folder (e.g, C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\GlobalSCAPE\EFT Server Enterprise\SQL Server and C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\GlobalSCAPE\EFT Server Enterprise\Oracle).

(Note: On Windows 2008, Application Data files for all users are in a hidden folder named %systemroot%\Program Data instead of under Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data.)

This registry edit only applies to external ODBC user authentication databases to allow for the "Settings Level" column in the database to specify into which Settings Level a user is placed for new user creation and any synchronization to move a User Settings Template (and home folder) when changed in the database. A SQL script is provided that will create the necessary tables.

If you enable this feature, your ODBC data source must have a new column in the ftpserver_users table. The column must be named SettingsLevel, and it should be of type VARCHAR(255). (Set the DWORD to a non-zero value to enable the feature.)

To activate this feature, create the following DWORD value.

32-bit:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\GlobalSCAPE Inc.\EFT Server 3.0\]

"EnableODBCSettingsLevelField"=dword:00000001

64-bit:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\WOW6432Node\GlobalSCAPE Inc.\EFT Server 3.0\]

"EnableODBCSettingsLevelField"=dword:00000001

(DWORD; non-zero to enable the feature)
