LDAP Authentication fails when connecting to a SunOne Directory Server

SYMPTOM

LDAP Authentication fails when connecting to a SunOne Directory Server.

RESOLUTION

In the Sun Directory LDAP server, page control is not supported. Turn off page control in EFT if you are using the Sun Directory LDAP server. The Use LDAP server-side page control check box is selected by default, so you must clear it if you are using a Sun Directory LDAP server.

To turn off page control

• If the Site is not yet created, create an LDAP-authenticated site and in the LDAP Authentication Advanced Options dialog box, clear the Use LDAP server-side page control check box, and then click OK.

• If the Site has already been created, open the LDAP Authentication Advanced Options dialog box, and clear the Use LDAP server-side page control check box, and then click OK.
