CuteFTP - Using the ACCT command

DISCUSSION

You can establish a connection and then supply the ACCT command for servers that require it.

To use ACCT with or without an FTP proxy

  1. Click File > Properties.
  2. Click the Options tab.
  3. On the Site-specific configuration options list, click Use site-specific option.
  4. In the Site-specific firewall settings area, click Proxy. The Proxy dialog box appears.
  5. In the Proxy type list, click a proxy type (FTP proxy or HTTP proxy).
  6. Make sure that the HOST and PORT field are identical to your site's host and port.
  7. Select the Use authentication check box.
  8. In the Password box, provide the password for ACCT.
  9. Click Advanced. The Advanced Proxy Settings dialog appears.
  10. Click Custom.The text box becomes available.
  11. Add the following variables. Press Enter after typing each variable:
    • USER %user%
    • PASS %pass%
    • ACCT %fire_pass%
  12. Click OK to close the Advanced Proxy Settings dialog box.
  13. Click OK again to close the Proxy dialog box.
  14. Click Connect to establish the connection or click Cancel to cancel the connection.

To use ACCT with an FTP proxy

  1. Iin the Site Manager, right-click a site, then click Properties.
  2. Click the Options tab.
  3. In the Site-specific configuration options list, click Use site-specific.
  4. Click Proxy. The Proxy dialog box appears.
  5. In the Proxy type list, click FTP proxy.
  6. Select the Use authentication check box.
  7. In the Password box, provide the password for ACCT.
  8. Click Advanced. The Advanced Proxy Settings dialog box appears.
  9. Click USER/PASS/ACCT, then click OK to close the Advanced Proxy Settings dialog box.
  10. Click OK to close the Proxy dialog box.
  11. Click Connect to establish the connection or click Cancel to cancel the connection.
