QUESTION

What is the maximum file size for uploads in a browser?

ANSWER

Internet Explorer v9 - v11, Chrome, Safari, Edge, and Firefox support the HTML5 uploader, which has a max 4GB file size limit.

Both Chrome and Edge support folder uploads.

Web browsers are limited by available memory, CPU utilization, network performance, and numerous other factors. In the case of large files, you might want to compress (ZIP) it before you send it.

HOW CAN I OVERCOME THOSE LIMITATIONS?

Because of the way EFT and Workspaces manage files, there are no limits on file size. However, again, EFT is at the mercy of the browser's capabilities and memory utilization, as well the capabilities of your computer.
